Question: What sort of things do you hope to discover

I hope to discover something about the laws of physics under the most extreme conditions. We are not able to accelerate particles on Earth to nearly the energies found in some extreme objects in space, so we need to use those objects as our laboratories and see what we can find out about how physics works when energies are so high that the fundamental forces (strong and weak nuclear forces, electromagnetic force, and gravity) interact with each other.
