      Well because PET/MRI is a combination of two separate machines (you can say it’s a hybrid machine ), it combines the strengths of two quite powerful cancer detecting machines , i.e., PET (uses radioactive dyes) and MRI(uses magnetic field to create a picture).

      Some cancers are particularly hard to detect and hide very well. we hope that PET/MRI will enable us to pick such cancers before they become too big and this might just save the person’s life
