      invention relates to manmade things like aeroplanes, even the wheel (one of the greatest inventions ever!), and discovery is about things that already existed in nature, such as electromanetism.

      Electromagnetism was discovered in stages. Even ancient Greeks are known to have had some idea as far back as 6th century BC. The electromagnetic theory as we know it today is mainly attributed to a guy called James Clerk Maxwell (1873) and Hans Christian Orsted (1820). You’ll be pleased to know that Maxwell did most of his work on Electromagnetic theory while at King’s College London !
