Question: If you weren't allowed to research what you research now wat would you research instead

I am interested in several different topics in astrophysics. If I could no longer study compact objects, I would like to research perhaps star formation or gravitational wave detection. If I was no longer allowed to do research in astrophysics at all, I would probably do research in computer vision or artificial intelligence, with an aim to produce machines that can be useful to people who are blind or who need prosthetic limbs.

Most of work is in commercially funded research, so am often asked to do widely unconnected research for different people. I think that if I had the chance I would like more environmental analysis and travel more.

I really like this question. There is so much I would like to research. I would probably research how to make an invisibility cloak, or teleportation.
