      Hi Tom,

You make me sad 🙁 Well, not really, but why would we leave anything to someone else? Space exploration is a massive team activity, and it takes thousands of people from all over the world to collaborate.

NASA doesn’t have as much money as it used to, you are right. But even if it did, we have so much talent and expertise in Europe to have our own missions too. The European Space Agency (ESA) is awesome – it’s our ‘local’ space agency! They’re also quite well funded and do amazing things.

Everyone has heard of NASA, probably because of Hollywood movies, but they’re only part of the story. They also like to ‘keep it American’, so if someone from Europe wanted to work on space missions it’s not likely they would be able to go to NASA.

Anyway there’s so much to explore. Every country should look to the skies in my opinion. Imagine if the whole human race came together to explore our solar system fully! It would create so many skilled jobs for people too 🙂
