• Question: I have watched the Flash and I have a question, Can a particle accelerator actually create a black hole or is it a load of mumba jumba?

Some scientists believe that certain particles, such as electrons, are so small that that they are actually tiny black holes. Therefore, I believe it woud be possible for a particle accelerator to collide particles with such and energy that will create a particle that is dense enough to be a black hole (this is defined by a particular mathematical relationship between the mass and the radius). However, it is very unlikely (i.e. pretty much impossible) that this tiny black hole would be able to absorb so much mass so quickly that it would eventually grow big enough to cause any danger.
