      Hi AEE,

      The theory is that universes like ours exist in the same place and at the same time (this is what is meant by parallel) and that on some level interact. We can’t see these other universes or know that they are there but they are said to make up everything we know as time, space, energy and matter. There is strong debate (not just by scientists) over whether they actually exist. Some, I think, use them to explain the behaviour of electrons which have wave/particle like properties but do not travel from one place to another in the same way.
